This is a
Very colorful and vibrant painting of a large Blue Marlin cruising just under the waves.

The technique I use for these type of paintings is one I developed and involves as many as 50 layers of paint to achieve a very vibrant 3 dimensional effect. The fish themselves I keep almost abstract in areas, concentrating more on color, movement and music in the painting instead of hard line biological correctness. When these paintings are lit properly from above and have the proper viewing distance they move and breathe on their own. You can almost reach into the painting and catch one with your hands.
